Christmas Banquet 2005

Springs Rescue Mission will host its annual Christmas Banquet Friday, December 23, and expects to serve 1,200 meals. Giveaways will include back packs, new toys, hygiene packs, coats, blankets, clothing, gingerbread houses, and gift boxes. Three local bands will entertain with live music.

The event is co-hosted by Adelphia and Christmas Unlimited, and Dr. Bob Grant from KGFT 100.7 FM will be chairman of the event. Captain Dan and Paul Richards from KKLI will be do a remote broadcast from 11:00 to 1:00.

How to help

Please drop off new toys, hams, non-perishable food at 5 West Las Vegas Street. New toys may also be dropped off at two Car Toys locations. Also, cash donations are welcome and appreciated.

No more volunteers are needed for this event. Volunteer signup for the next city wide meal, which will be Easter, starts March 27. Additionally, there are other volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

How to get help

If you would like a food box to take home, sign up at Emergency Services Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 1:30pm and 4:00pm.

Everyone is welcome to the meal at the City Auditorium on Friday, December 23, between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
