The purpose of Springs Rescue Mission is to help people overcome addictions and to train them to live responsible and productive lives, and we accomplish this goal in part through the New Life Program (NLP). The NLP provides an opportunity for recovery and rehabilitation in a safe, structured environment. Men address core issues that have caused them to fail for years.
Research has found that the number one motivating factor for behavioral change is group support, so we have the Mentor Program to provide support relationships. These relationships have a powerful, positive effect on a successful transition. Mentors provide Christian role models and relationships that help NLP members transition back into the community.
The Mentor Program is a commitment of at least one year and at least 1 hour per week.
