The warming shelter opens any night of the year when the temperature or wind chill drops to a dangerous 10 degrees or colder. At the warming shelter the homeless find a warm, safe bed for the night. In the morning they'll get a donut and hot coffee. The Mission participates in a warming shelter network with the City of Colorado Springs, the Police Department, Marion House, and the Red Cross.
Donate to help.
When the warming shelter is activated, you will see a red flag outside hanging on our building. Come in after 9pm.
