Warming shelter

The warming shelter provides relief on dangerously cold nights.
The warming shelter provides relief on dangerously cold nights.

The warming shelter opens any night of the year when the temperature or wind chill drops to a dangerous 10 degrees or colder. At the warming shelter the homeless find a warm, safe bed for the night. In the morning they'll get a donut and hot coffee. The Mission participates in a warming shelter network with the City of Colorado Springs, the Police Department, Marion House, and the Red Cross.
